You own a list of CD of your favorite music and movies etc. But have you decided how you are going to store them for future use and keep them safe.
There are many types of storage facility available in the market for the CD. How many CD you have and what are you planning to do with them will determine what type of CD covers your require. If you are planning to give away the CDs after use you may just need small plastic single covers which you can give away along with the CD.
The different CD storages are listed below:
1. Jewel Case: They are the most common type which store your CD and can be lined up on a shelf or table. They are very not very strong and can easily break and they take a lot of space.
2. Plastic Sleeve: These are very thin covers made of plastic. Of course they are so thin they do not protect the CD inside. If you are planning to give away the CD then it is advisable to store in them but if you want to store them for a longer period you will need some other alternative.
3. paper Sleeve: These are also for short term storage. Especially while carrying the CD from one place to another you can use these sleeves but like the plastic sleeve they are not very protective.
4. Paperboard Sleeve: They are much thicker than paper and hence are able to protect the CD.
5. Tyvek Sleeves: They are good for long term storage, this is the most recommended.
6. Disc cases: The CD cases can hold many cases in a single case with a protective sleeve separate over each CD. The storage space required for these is very less.
7. Spindles: They hold hundred or more of CD. But to search for the CD into spindle is hard as you will need to pick up each and every CD to search for what you are looking for.
